What’s Contactless?
Contactless debit cards provide enhanced security for transactions at enabled checkout terminals with the Contactless symbol. It lets you shop with peace of mind across the globe, knowing your card information is never shared directly with merchants.
How does it work?
- When using a compatible terminal, simply tap your card within two inches of the contactless symbol on the indicated terminal location. You can also add your Countybank debit card to your mobile walled and use your mobile device for payment.
- Each contactless transaction creates a one-time code specific to that transaction, reducing fraud risk.

- Finally, you can remove your card from the machine.
Note: All Contactless cards still contain an EMV chip and magnetic stripe and thus are still compatible with old and new card reader terminals.

Text Fraud Alerts
What are Text Fraud Alerts?
Text fraud alerts are text message alerts that are delivered when a suspicious transaction is flagged on your debit card. These alerts allow for a quicker and more efficient resolution to suspect transactions at no cost to you. Message and data rates may apply.
How does this work?
- If you have a text enabled number on file, you will receive a text message within 30 seconds of the suspect transaction needing to be verified.
- If the transaction is legitimate, reply “YES”, and if it is fraudulent, reply “NO”.
- If you reply “YES” you will receive a second message to attempt your transaction again if necessary.
- If you reply “NO” you will be prompted to contact the call center number provided and a restriction will be placed on your card.
- If you do not reply to the message within 15 minutes, you will receive a voice call at all numbers listed on file.
How do I know these messages aren't a scam?
- These text messages will ask strictly yes or no questions. No further account information should be requested.
- Messages will be received from short code 37-268 or 20-733
- Call Center numbers listed in the message could be any of the following:
- 833-735-1892
- 833-735-1897
- 833-763-2014
We will never ask you for:
- Full debit or credit card numbers
- Social Security number
- Account Numbers
- Online Banking passwords
